Legacy, Family, and Craftsmanship
Trust isn’t built overnight. Our roots in the White Mountains go back over three decades—and every nail we’ve driven since has been in service of doing things the right way.
Founder’s Story
J. Myers Builders began nearly four decades ago when Jamie Myers—fresh out of high school and brimming with determination—chose a different path. He turned down college, told his parents he was going to become a builder, and struck his first deal: a full winter’s worth of firewood in exchange for a year’s rent at home.
From those early days of remodeling and roofing to building his first full home at 21, Jamie grounded the business in one unshakable belief: “If you work hard and do right by people, success takes care of itself.” That belief carried J. Myers Builders through the 2008 crash, through the global pandemic, and through a long evolution from remodeling to full-scale custom homebuilding across northern New Hampshire.
Today, J. Myers Builders is one of the last remaining elite homebuilders in the Franconia region—known not just for the beauty of their builds, but for their precision, process, and energy performance. Jamie has stepped back from the spotlight, but his legacy lives on through his son, Jamsie, who now leads the company into a new era.
Meet Jamsie Myers
As President of J Myers Builders, Jamsie Myers brings a lifelong passion for construction, craftsmanship, and client relationships to every project the company undertakes.
Raised in a family deeply rooted in the building industry, Jamsie grew up around construction sites, learning not only how homes are built, but why quality matters. After earning a degree in Construction Management from Vermont Technical College, he chose to continue building in the region he calls home, helping clients throughout New Hampshire's White Mountains and surrounding communities bring their visions to life.
Today, Jamsie specializes in high-end custom residential construction, overseeing projects that demand exceptional attention to detail, thoughtful planning, and a commitment to doing things the right way. While every home is unique, his philosophy remains the same: never cut corners, never compromise quality, and always build with the long term in mind.
What motivates him most isn't simply the finished product. It's the process of taking an idea that exists only on paper—or in a homeowner's imagination—and transforming it into something real. From the first conversations with a client to the final finishing details, Jamsie enjoys collaborating with homeowners, architects, designers, and tradespeople to create homes that are both beautiful and enduring.
Under his leadership, J Myers Builders has earned a reputation for delivering energy-efficient, thoughtfully crafted homes that reflect the needs and aspirations of each client. He believes successful projects are built on trust, communication, and strong relationships. In fact, his goal is simple: when a project is complete, he wants clients to feel comfortable picking up the phone years later—whether they have a question, need advice, or simply want to stay in touch.
Outside of work, Jamsie is a husband, father, youth baseball coach, and entrepreneur. He enjoys supporting local youth sports, investing in real estate, and staying connected to the community he serves. Whether he's leading a construction project, mentoring a team member, or coaching on the ball field, he brings the same values to everything he does: integrity, accountability, hard work, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
For Jamsie, building has never been just a profession. It's a craft, a responsibility, and a lifelong passion.
Jamie Myers, Founder
Jamie Myers is the founder and guiding hand behind J. Myers Builders. A lifelong builder, Jamie is known for his behind‑the‑scenes leadership and his obsession with excellence. Over 35 years, he built more than homes—he built trust, adapting through recessions, industry shifts, and personal reinventions.
Today, Jamie supports operations in a quieter capacity, focusing on systems, contracts, and strategic oversight. He’s passionate about energy efficiency and was one of the early leaders in integrating solar, geothermal, and airtight construction in residential building.
When he’s not supporting Jamsie or mentoring the team, you’ll find him biking through the mountains, skiing with family, or exploring new corners of the world. He’s a disciplined thinker, a builder at heart, and a firm believer that “your reputation is worth more than any money.”
